====== Updating your printer's firmware ====== Your Bukobot printer controller (an Azteeg X1 or X3 board) comes pre-installed with the correct Marlin printer firmware for your model. However if you later need to modify or update the printer firmware then follow these instructions: - Download the Arduino IDE from http://arduino.cc/en/Main/Software and extract it into a directory. - Go to [[marlin_configuration]] and download the correct Marlin printer firmware version for your printer. Extract it to your hard disk. - Close your printer host program if open (such as Repetier-Host). - Start the Arduino IDE (arduino.exe) - Set the board type correctly in Tools->Board: - For X3: Select Arduino AT Mega 2560 or Mega ADK - For X1: Select Arduino Mega (ATmega1280) - Set the serial port correctly in Tools->Serial Port. - Open Marlin.ino from your Bukobot firmware directory (File->Open). - Press Verify to compile the firmware (should get no errors) - Connect your printer controller if not already connected. - Press Upload to upload the firmware to the board. - That's it.
